Who we are

This platform is operated by Artist HQ LLC ("Artist HQ", artisthq.ai) as the technology provider for participating independent tattoo studios and artists, including founding studio Inked by Carson (Lewisville, TX). Each participating studio is the business responsible for its own client relationships ("controller"); Artist HQ processes client information on the studio's behalf ("processor"), under our Studio Data Processing Agreement.

Information we collect

• Name and phone number
• Inquiry and message content you send to a studio's published HQ number
• Tattoo reference images and body-placement photos you choose to send (sensitive — see Photos below)
• Appointment, quote and deposit details
• Opt-in and opt-out records (date/time, the number you texted, the disclosure shown, and how you opted out)

How we use it

Strictly to answer the 1:1 inquiry you started by texting the studio first: replying to your questions, preparing a quote, sending the studio's booking link, and coordinating deposits and appointments. We never send cold marketing blasts and never text lists of people who did not contact the studio first.

Sharing

We use service providers (subprocessors) only to run the service on the studio's behalf: Cloudflare (hosting, database, storage), OpenAI API (drafting replies; API data is not used to train models), SendBlue and Twilio (message delivery), and Stripe (deposit payments). They may not use your information for any other purpose. We do not sell personal data. One studio never sees another studio's clients.

Photos and media

Body-placement and reference photos (including provider-hosted media links from SendBlue or Twilio) are visible only inside the receiving studio's passcode-protected HQ, are used only for quoting and appointment prep, are never published, never shared across studios, and are never used to train public or shared AI models. You can have them removed at any time with the form below; removal takes effect in studio records immediately.

AI assistance disclosure (Texas Responsible AI Governance Act — TRAIGA)

Replies may be drafted and sent by an automated AI booking assistant configured by the studio (for example "Nicole"). It will always answer honestly if you ask whether you are talking to an AI. The artist oversees the conversation, and anything the assistant can't answer — exceptions, complaints, medical questions, schedule conflicts — is escalated to the human artist. Ask for the artist at any time.

Your privacy rights (Texas Data Privacy and Security Act — TDPSA — and other state laws)

Depending on where you live, you have the right to: know/access the personal data we hold about you; correct it; delete it, including tattoo placement photos; opt out of texts (reply STOP or say "stop texting me") and of any sale, targeted advertising or profiling (we do none of these); obtain a portable copy; and not be discriminated against for using these rights. We respond within 45 days. If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our decision email with "Appeal"; we answer appeals within 60 days, and if you disagree you may contact the Texas Attorney General (texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection) or your state's attorney general.

Retention

Studios keep inquiry records only as long as needed for quoting, appointments, deposits, and legal/tax records. Opt-out and consent records are kept as compliance proof even after a deletion, so a deletion request can never cause you to be texted again.

Age

Tattoo services and this texting program are for adults 18 and older only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if a minor contacts a studio, the studio will not book them and the information will be deleted on request.
